Sapphire and Diamond Reverse Three Stone Ring

We have made this stunning three stone ring in the reverse fashion, with the two sapphires flanking the centre diamond.

The brilliant cut diamond is top colour (D), VS2 clarity and comes with a GIA report (what is known in the trade as a ‘triple X, nil’ - it meets all top grading criteria).

We have bought a rare parcel of purple/blue sapphires from Vietnam and matched a pair for the sides - these have been diamond-cut for extra brilliance.

The mount, in all platinum, has been made exactly to the gemstones, and our setter has finished the claws with neat talons; it has also been made in a contemporary style to allow another ring, such as an eternity or wedding ring, to sit flush alongside.

Gemmologist's note: Sapphire, from the gem family Corundum (Al₂O₃) is second hardest only to diamond and has been used in fine jewellery for generations for its durability. Found in a range of colours, from blue to pink to yellow.
