A gorgeous deep purple cushion cut sapphire, of just over 1.00 ct, set as a cluster with diamond set shoulders. We have set the sapphire in a rubover setting and the diamonds surrounding and to the shoulders total 0.35 ct. Diamonds are of our usual high grade, F colour, and VS clarity.

The all platinum mount features a small diamond, set either side underneath the cluster as a design feature.

Gemmologist's note: Sapphire, from the gem family Corundum (Al₂O₃) is second hardest only to diamond and has been used in fine jewellery for generations for its durability. Found in a range of colours, from blue to pink to yellow, violet, green, brown and almost colourless.
