    A stunning, rare, padparadscha sapphire of pastel pink-orange colour, just under 2.00 cts, mounted in platinum and 18ct rose gold. This collectors gem has a report from the GRS (Gem Research Swisslab) which attests to this gem being unheated, natural padparadscha, with origin of Sri Lanka.

    We have mounted this amazing gem as a platinum cluster ring, with a diamond surround and diamond set shoulders, with a total weight of 0.34 ct and of grade F colour, VS clarity.

    The sapphire is set in 18ct rose gold talon claws.

    Gemmologist's note: Sapphire, from the gem family Corundum (Al2O3) is second hardest only to diamond and has been used in fine jewellery for generations for its durability. Padparadscha sapphires, which are found in shades of pink or orange, are extremely rare and collectable and are named after the Sinhalese word for 'lotus flower'.
