A glorious natural fancy sapphire of over 1.50 cts set in all platinum as a three stone ring. This rare gem is from Ceylon and has not been heat treated. It comes with a report from the Gem & Pearl Laboratory, London.

Set with a matching pair of brilliant cut diamonds of 0.26 ct each, of F colour, VS clarity. The mount has been designed in a contemporary style to be underwired to allow for another ring to sit flush alongside.

Gemmologist's note: Sapphire, from the gem family Corundum (Al₂O₃) is second hardest only to diamond and has been used in fine jewellery for generations for its durability. Padparadscha sapphires, which are found in shades of pink or orange, are extremely rare and collectable and are named after the Sinhalese word for 'lotus flower'.
